Subluxation

A term used to depict the vertebra’s altered position and the functional loss that results, subluxation determines the location for spinal manipulation. The term can actually include multiple functions, such as physiological and biomechanical dynamics that result in neural disturbances.

Subluxation is viewed as the process in which the tissues undergo constant changes, such as joint dysfunction that impacts the muscles in different ways, and hyperemia, which is an excess amount of blood in a specific body part because of abnormal blood flow. It can involve edema, which causes swelling. Minute hemorrhages, or a small amount of bleeding from an abnormal blood flow, and fibrosis, which is scar tissue, can also be included in this category.

What is subluxation in chiropractic care? It is dependent upon the kind of problems that cause your pain. There are several kinds, such as static intersegmental subluxation, kinetic intersegmental subluxation, sectional subluxation and paravertebral subluxation. A chiropractor can diagnose the root of the problem and come up with the appropriate subluxation for your situation. Based on that, a treatment plan will be initiated.
